DOCTOR MICHAEL CONSTANTINE...

Dr. Michael Constantine began his medical career at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Zoology. After two years of conventional medical studies at the University of Miami School of Medicine, he entered the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, with the desire to approach healing in a more natural way. He earned his doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree in 1994.

Naturopathic doctors are trained as general physicians, addressing a broad scope of diseases, disorders, injuries, and other ailments. They also strongly emphasize preventive medicine. Naturopathic medicine is a primary health care system founded on the honored medical principle that nature heals. Health, as well as disease, comes from a complex interaction of physical, emotional, spiritual, dietary, genetic, environmental, lifestyle, and other factors.

As a licensed physician in Oregon, Michael Constantine, ND has been a primary care provider, case manager for Oregon Medical Assistance Program, and family physician. He has utilized various nature cure therapies, while concentrating on homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition, body/energy work, and lifestyle counseling. He has employed various traditional diagnostic methods such as medical history, physical examination, and laboratory testing. Dr. Constantine is also trained and utilizes holistic diagnostic tools such as food allergy panels, candida profiles, amino acid and vitamin profiles, metabolic panels, hormone profiles, hair analyses, and comprehensive digestive analyses.

Dr. Constantine is a licensable physician in the state of Florida. Although there are existing laws regulating naturopathic medicine in Florida, there is not yet an active board to offer new licensing to naturopathic physicians. Thus Dr. Constantine functions as a natural health counselor. Legislation is currently under way to regain this license ability under the Florida Department of Health, and Dr. Constantine is proud to be part of this venture and hopeful of its forthcoming acceptance.
